In a tragic turn of events, 30-year-old Jennifer Zimmerman of Kansas City was killed on November 10, 2017, in a triple homicide. The shooting, which also claimed the lives of 25-year-old Yessenia Ahumada and a man who was later identified as Victor Portillo, occurred inside a house at the corner of 17th Street and Chelsea Avenue. Family members indicated that Zimmerman may have recently changed her last name to Portillo.
