On the evening of January 29, 2018, violence erupted in the parking lot of the Oak Park Apartments in St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the life of a young man. Montez Hoskin Jr., a 23-year-old male, was at the complex located in the 11000 block of Estrada Drive in the Spanish Lake area of North St. Louis County when gunfire rang out shortly after 6:00 p.m. The sudden shooting left Hoskin critically wounded in the apartment's parking area, prompting a desperate response from those around him.
