Derrick Penny, aged 54, was one of five individuals found dead in a home in north St. Louis County on July 6, 2019. The victims were identified as 65-year-old Rondall Mullin, 54-year-old Derrick Penny, 54-year-old James L. Penny, 40-year-old Ronald Brewster Jr., and 37-year-old Rodney E. Holt. The St. Louis County Police Department confirmed that all five victims were shot to death, and the incident was classified as a homicide.
