Ashley Roberts, a 25-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, was found dead on March 9, 2018. Her body was discovered inside a home near 60th Street and South Benton Avenue. Neighbors reported hearing arguing from within the residence shortly before her death. The police investigation revealed that Roberts had died from a gunshot wound, and her death was quickly classified as a homicide.
