On a Saturday night in the Penrose neighborhood of north St. Louis, violence erupted, leaving two men dead. Sylvester Caston, a 61-year-old male, was fatally shot on May 19, 2018. The incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m., also claimed the life of 55-year-old Ira Johnson.

Both Caston and Johnson were pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting. In addition to the double homicide, a car was stolen during the incident. The owner of the vehicle, a 44-year-old woman, was present but was ...
