In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July in 2018, the life of 38-year-old Pamela Taylor, a female resident of Saint-Louis, Missouri, was tragically cut short. She was found shot and killed in the street near her home in the 1500 block of Wellston Place. The shocking event immediately prompted a homicide investigation by local law enforcement.

As investigators worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding her death, a person of interest was identified. On July 15, 2018, a significant development occurred in the case when 27-year-old Jonathan A. Jolliff was taken into custody.
Following his arrest, Jolliff, also from St. Louis, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with Pamela Taylor's death. He was subsequently held at the St. Louis County Justice Center without bail, awaiting legal proceedings.
