Mary Schmitz, a 20-year-old resident of Independence, Missouri, tragically lost her life on September 18, 2018, in a fatal shooting incident. The incident occurred at an apartment on Quail Creek Drive, where police responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Mary Schmitz deceased in the dining room area and another victim, a 21-year-old man, wounded in a bedroom. A German Shepherd was also found dead at the scene.
