Crystal Chrisp, a 46-year-old woman from Saint Louis, Missouri, was found dead on October 2, 2018, inside her burning apartment in Affton, a suburb of St. Louis County. The initial call to emergency services reported a fire at her residence on Kidder Avenue around 1:20 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered Chrisp's body inside the apartment where the fire had started. The St. Louis County police initially classified her death as suspicious but later reclassified it as a suicide.
