Jerrin Armon Tryone Walton, a 26-year-old Black male, was tragically killed on Sunday, October 7, 2018, in a violent shooting spree that spanned across Kansas City and Raytown, Missouri. His life was cut short during a rampage carried out by a relative, leaving a trail of devastation and loss for his family and community. Funeral services were later held for him at the Fellowship Right Baptist Church, and he was buried in Brooking Cemetery.
The man responsible for Walton's death was
Issac J. Fisher. On that fateful morning, Fisher engaged in a series of violent attacks targeting family members at three different locations over the course of about an hour. The violence began after 9:15 a.m. when Fisher argued with and then shot and killed 34-year-old Angenette Hollins, the mother of his children, at a home on Kentucky Avenue.
Following the first shooting, Fisher proceeded to a residence on Laurel Avenue in Raytown, where he kicked in the door and stole a vehicle. He then drove to a home on Elm Avenue in Raytown, where he fatally shot his step-brother, Jerrin A. Walton. The violence at this location did not end with Walton's death. A woman and her 4-year-old child were also shot and injured, while a 1-year-old at the scene was physically unharmed.
After an intensive search by police, Issac J. Fisher was arrested later that evening. In October 2022, a jury convicted Fisher on multiple counts, including two counts of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree murder, six counts of armed criminal action, three counts of first-degree burglary, and two counts of felony child endangerment. In January 2023, he was sentenced to three life sentences, two of them without the possibility of parole, for the devastating series of crimes he committed.
