In the summer of 2019, tragedy struck in St. Louis when a man lost his life in a fatal shooting. Alfred Saddler Jr., a 31-year-old male, was discovered deceased on June 7, 2019. The grim finding occurred on the 6900 block of Natural Bridge Avenue, marking a sorrowful day in the city. The cause of his untimely death was determined to be gun violence.
In the weeks that followed, the North County Police Cooperative investigated the homicide.
Their efforts led to the identification of a suspect. In late July, charging documents were filed against Dashon Torion Reece in connection with Saddler's death. The charges brought against Reece were significant, including first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and violation of an order of protection. Following the charges, authorities began a search for Reece, considering him to be armed and dangerous. The public was asked to provide any information that could lead to his apprehension.
