Kennedi Powell, a 3-year-old girl from St. Louis, Missouri, tragically lost her life on June 9, 2019, in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred while she was playing outside her grandmother's home on Michigan Avenue in south St. Louis. Kennedi was struck in the chest by a bullet, and despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries. The shooting also injured a 6-year-old playmate, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the violence that claimed Kennedi's life.
