A bright summer evening in Saint-Louis, Missouri, turned tragic on June 9, 2019, when 3-year-old Kennedi Powell was killed in a senseless act of violence. She was a young female child enjoying her evening, playing with other children in the 4600 block of Michigan Avenue, when gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle.
