In the summer of 2019, the life of 25-year-old Barry Brent Barnes II was tragically cut short in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. A White/Caucasian male, Barnes was fatally shot on Friday, June 21, 2019, in a violent encounter that also left others wounded. The incident unfolded near the intersection of 84th and Paseo Boulevard, shattering the peace of a summer evening and leaving a community in mourning.
