In the summer of 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving two men dead in what was described as an act of senseless violence. On the evening of July 28, police officers in the area of the 2100 block of Monroe Avenue were drawn to the sound of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene.
