On January 20, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Kansas City police responded to reports of gunfire near the 10700 block of Marsh Avenue, situated south of I-470 and close to James A. Reed Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Ka’Marr A. Brown lying unresponsive in a parking lot, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and, upon looking outside, observed Brown on the ground.
