Dr. Camille Elaine Hostetter, a 45-year-old White female dentist who had established her practice in the community after moving to the area over a decade prior, was working at her office on East Zora Street. Just after 9:00 a.m., law enforcement received reports of a disturbance at the clinic, prompting an immediate response from the Webb City Police Department.
Upon entering the building, officers discovered a grim scene in an upstairs room of the facility, separate from where staff and patients had been located on the lower level. Inside the office, they found two individuals deceased from gunshot wounds. The investigation quickly determined that Windell D. Glass, Dr. Hostetter's 55-year-old estranged husband, had entered the practice where he was also employed as a building coordinator and caretaker.
