In the early hours of May 15, 2020, a violent encounter inside a moving vehicle on westbound Interstate 70 near West Florissant Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri, claimed the life of 53-year-old Leonard Ward. The male victim was a passenger in a car being driven by a friend, Edouard Claypool, when a verbal altercation erupted with another passenger, Brian Williams.
