On July 2, 2020, police in St. Louis, Missouri, launched a homicide investigation following a violent incident in the northern part of the city. Officers were dispatched to the scene where they discovered a male victim who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The individual was identified as 26-year-old Amaree Love. He was found unresponsive, and despite the response of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the location.
