On November 23, 2020, a tragic sequence of events unfolded in St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the life of Joyce Freeman. The 20-year-old Black female was preparing to take her newborn son, who was just four days old, to a doctor's appointment. She, along with her boyfriend and their infant, entered their vehicle in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, located in the Dutchtown neighborhood.
