On the afternoon of November 25, 2020, the Kansas City community suffered the loss of Daveion Hill, a 24-year-old Black male who was fatally shot in the 6600 block of Monroe Avenue. The incident unfolded shortly after 5 p.m., just one day after his birthday. Police officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire, where they discovered Hill suffering from critical injuries.
