Born on February 2, 2000, to Sidea Sanders and Martinus Butler, he was a resident of St. Louis and had received his education through the Riverview School District. He was one of three siblings, with a brother named Arinthies Johnson and a sister, Antwanisha Smith.
The circumstances of his death prompted an
investigation by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division. Reports indicate that Martinus Butler was a victim of gun violence. He was a father to one child. His mother, Sidea Sanders, had preceded him in death.
