In the late summer of 2011, the life of a 55-year-old Indianapolis man, Samuel L. McDaniel, was tragically cut short. On the morning of Friday, September 2nd, police officers were called to the 3500 block of Van Buren Street on the southeast side of the city. There, behind a residence, they discovered McDaniel inside a silver Cadillac CTS. He had been fatally shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
