On February 17, 2021, Lekeyth Gillard, a 22-year-old resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, was tragically found shot to death inside his car in the Dutchtown neighborhood of south St. Louis. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when St. Louis police received a "ShotSpotter" call near Oregon Avenue and Keokuk Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Gillard inside his vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
