On June 26, 2021, a 35-year-old male named Shawn Cortez Hackney was found fatally wounded in the College Hill neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Law enforcement officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Emily Street and East Gano Avenue, where they discovered Hackney suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency medical personnel rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
