In the summer of 2021, a tragedy unfolded in St. Louis, Missouri, that claimed the lives of a young mother and her child. Terri Bankhead, a 27-year-old female, and her 8-year-old daughter, Da'Nilya Edwards, were found deceased in their home on Pleasant Street on August 11, 2021. The grim discovery was made by Terri's mother, who had become concerned after being unable to reach her daughter. When she entered the apartment, she found both her daughter and granddaughter bound and fatally shot.
