Lenton “Ty” Ward, an 18-year-old senior at Vero Beach High School, went missing on May 13, 2020, while swimming off the coast of Jensen Beach, Florida. He was last seen around 4:30 p.m. near Dollman Beachside Access, about 150 yards offshore, when he suddenly vanished in the choppy waters. Ward, who was an accomplished athlete, played both football and lacrosse for his high school, wearing number 45 on both teams.
