William Morlock, age 58, was last seen on July 24, 2015, in Jensen Beach, Florida. He had left the residence he shared with a family member, taking their vehicle and a paddleboard. The next day, on July 25, his vehicle was found abandoned at Normandy Beach in St. Lucie County, and his paddleboard was located drifting six nautical miles offshore.
A large-scale search was launched by the U.S. Coast Guard, involving multiple assets such as helicopters, aircraft, and search vessels. Despite extensive efforts covering over 35,000 square nautical miles, no trace of Morlock himself was found. It is believed that he may have suffered an accident while paddleboarding in the ocean.
The Coast Guard eventually suspended the search, expressing their condolences to his family, but the case remains unresolved. Morlock's disappearance is still listed as missing, and the circumstances suggest a tragic accident at sea.
