Known also by her married name, Lora Ridgely, she has not been seen or heard from since that day. At the time of her disappearance, Overton was living with a man named David B. Hughes. Concerns have been raised about her association with Hughes, who has a criminal history that includes a conviction for a double murder in 1986.

She is described as a white female with blond or strawberry hair, brown eyes, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing between 100 and 130 pounds.
