Her disappearance is tied to the tragic murder of her mother, Christine Belusko, whose body was discovered brutally beaten, strangled, and set on fire in Staten Island on September 20, 1991. Christine’s remains, initially unidentified, were found near the South Beach Psychiatric Center, and it took nearly three decades to identify her using advanced forensic genealogy techniques.
