On October 22, 1988, in the early evening Betsy Owens was playing volleyball at the local school in Pauingassi, Manitoba. At approximately 11:00 pm, Betsy left the school with her boyfriend, returning to his residence. Betsy was last seen by her boyfriend the following morning when she left his home. Despite several searches, Betsy's whereabouts remain unknown.
