Silas Anthony Ojeda, a 13-month-old boy from Cheyenne, Wyoming, was last seen around October 22, 2016. His mother, Rhiannon Ojeda, left him in the care of her boyfriend, Logan Rogers, while she went to work. Silas was reported missing on October 26 by his grandfather after Rhiannon told him that a man had taken Silas and not returned him.
During the investigation, Logan Rogers gave conflicting stories about what happened to Silas, initially claiming he had given the boy to a friend
named Santiago. However, after this was proven false, Rogers admitted that Silas had died after falling off a counter and suffering a head injury. He claimed that he wrapped Silas's body in a comforter and disposed of it in a trash bin. Despite an extensive search of a landfill in Ault, Colorado, and other areas around Cheyenne, Silas's body was never recovered.
Rogers later pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in 2018 and was sentenced to 18 to 20 years in prison. The case remains open, and while Rogers has repeatedly changed his account of the events, authorities believe Silas died as a result of abuse while in Rogers' care.
