Jose DeJesus Pereda-Alarcon, 69 years old at the time, was last seen on September 5, 2018, in Riverton, Wyoming. He was driving his white 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck south on Federal Boulevard at around 11:30 a.m. His only known destination that day was the Sand Draw Landfill, located outside of Riverton, but he never arrived.
Pereda-Alarcon, known by his nickname "Pepe," was wearing a gray and black long-sleeved flannel shirt and black pants when he disappeared.
He suffered from diabetes and memory loss, which may have contributed to his disappearance, possibly leaving him confused or disoriented. Despite extensive searches by local authorities and volunteers, including aerial searches, neither Pereda-Alarcon nor his vehicle have been found. His case remains unsolved, with few details available about his disappearance.
