At the time she went missing, she was described as being a little over 3 feet tall and weighing 38 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. The circumstances leading to Alexandra's disappearance are rooted in a difficult custody dispute between her parents. It is believed that she is with her mother, Yahaira De La Mora Gomez.
Just days before she vanished, a family court had awarded temporary full custody of Alexandra to her father, Michael LaMarca.
Surveillance footage from around November 22, 2024, captured Yahaira and her children, Alexandra and her 8-year-old half-brother, leaving their apartment with packed bags and getting into a white Nissan Pathfinder. In the video, Alexandra's older brother appeared visibly upset, and Alexandra could be heard asking if they were going on a trip. Following her failure to appear at a subsequent family court hearing, a warrant was issued for Yahaira's arrest.
