Thirteen-year-old Allen Fischer was last seen on the evening of June 22, 2025, in Monteview, Idaho. An AMBER Alert was issued for Allen and his 15-year-old sister, Rachelle Fischer, on June 23, 2025, after their mother, Elizabeth Roundy, reported them missing when she returned home from a Bible study. At the time of his disappearance, Allen was described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities believe the disappearance is connected to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a community the children's mother had previously left. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has stated a belief that the teens might have been taken to an FLDS community in Trenton or Mendon, Utah, where they had lived before their mother gained custody. The children's mother suspects that someone from the FLDS community picked them up, as there are no public transportation options in their remote desert area. This suspicion is compounded by the fact that the teens' older sister, Elintra Dee Fischer, went missing from the same home in January 2023 and has never been located. Roundy believes Elintra and her ex-husband, Nephi Fischer, may be involved in the disappearance of Allen and Rachelle.
In the days following the disappearance, an extensive search was conducted. The Uvalde Foundation for Kids organized a 10-day ground search, with 48 volunteers covering over 1,000 miles across Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. The foundation concluded its ground operations based on new information suggesting that the teens are no longer being moved but are being hidden in a single location by members of the FLDS group. Despite the cessation of the physical search, the foundation has pledged to continue its investigation. Authorities have indicated the children may be traveling in a gray Honda or Hyundai sedan with Utah license plates and could be in the company of adult siblings.
