In the late summer of 2006, the island of Kauai was the backdrop for a gathering of young people at Kekaha Beach. Among them was 17-year-old Chester Caluya, a senior at Kauai High School. The night of August 6th was filled with the sounds of a beach party, an event that would tragically be the last time Chester was seen by his friends and family.
