The 49-year-old was staying on a six-acre property with a group of friends, including the bride and groom, Christina Michelle MacNees and Daniel Arroyo, and his business partner, Aurora Solveig Fehring Dingwall, her husband Alan Gareth Dingwall, and their
young son. The group was gathered in anticipation of the wedding and the upcoming second birthday of the Dingwalls' son.
The morning of the planned wedding ceremony brought with it a catastrophe that no one could have foreseen. After an extended period of heavy rainfall, the Kaloko Dam breached, unleashing an immense and destructive wall of water upon the community below.
