Daniel Joseph Marks, a 24-year-old man from Portland, Oregon, disappeared on November 10, 2005, while hiking on Kauai, Hawaii. He was last seen around 4:00 p.m. at the second Kalalau Lookout overlooking Waimea Canyon, along the Pihea Trail. Marks, an experienced hiker and camper, had planned to visit the Na Pali Coast before flying to Minnesota on November 16 to visit family, but he never made his flight. His family reported him missing when he failed to show up as planned.
