In June of 1989, 41-year-old Glenda Diane Quisenberry was last seen in Thomasville, Georgia. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are troubling, with the last known sighting of her being in the company of her boyfriend, Jerry Robert Hobbs. Witnesses reported seeing Hobbs carrying Quisenberry over his shoulder at a shelter for battered women. Hobbs later claimed that they were at a trailer on Lost Arrowhead Lane, where Quisenberry became intoxicated and passed out.

However, the case against him was dismissed the following month due to a lack of evidence, and he was released. Hobbs later relocated to Washington state and is now deceased.
