Two days later, on May 16, 1984, Helen's gold-colored 1980 Chevrolet Citation was found abandoned in the south terminal parking lot of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The car's ignition key was found under the floor mat, and disturbingly, the vehicle had been wiped clean of any fingerprints.
