Gloria Jean Baird, a 23-year-old mother to a two-year-old daughter, vanished in Atlanta, Georgia, around December 31, 1969. She was attending a party when she was reportedly last seen leaving with three unidentified men. A short time after she was last seen, her Volkswagen Beetle was discovered abandoned on the side of a road in Georgia. Decades later, her daughter's inquiries with the Atlanta FBI office yielded no records of an investigation into her mother's disappearance. The case is a sorrowful puzzle, beginning with a festive night and ending with an abandoned car and a family left waiting. The lack of concrete leads over the years has left the investigation at a standstill, and the fate of Gloria Jean Baird remains unknown.
