Crystal Lynn Kipper, an 18-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, was last seen on February 24, 1997. That evening, she drove from Kansas City to St. Joseph, Missouri, to spend time with a friend. After dropping her friend off around 2:00 a.m., Crystal began driving home. Her car, a red 1989 Ford Probe, ran out of fuel on Interstate 29 near Platte City.
