Kimberly LaWanda Carter, a 19-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, was last seen on July 5, 1984. On that day, Kimberly left her three children, including a two-month-old, with a friend while she went to work. She was last known to be in the 4500 block of Kensington Avenue. Later that night, Kimberly made a phone call to a friend, saying she was "somewhere in Kansas" and asked for a ride home. The call abruptly ended, and she never returned.
