On a summer evening in Kansas City, Missouri, 47-year-old Marilyn Brinson was last seen at her home on July 16, 2002. Her husband of three decades, John L. Brinson, told authorities that he saw his wife when she went to bed that night. The next morning, she was gone. He said he assumed she had left for her job at a local Texaco Star Mart, but concern grew when her employer called to report that she never arrived for her shift.
