Francesca O’Brien, aged 55, was last seen on the morning of August 11, 2004, at her residence on Makamae Street in the Leilani Estates subdivision in Pahoa, Hawaii. Her housekeeper reported her missing, and a family member living on the Big Island also expressed concern about her whereabouts. O’Brien’s personal belongings, including her vehicle and necessary medications, were left behind at her home, indicating that she may not have planned to leave for an extended period.
