Mariah Chavez Carter, a one-month-old infant, was last seen on October 8, 2001, in Biscoe, North Carolina. She was abducted by her non-custodial mother, Porfiria Salmeron Chavez. A felony warrant for custodial interference was issued for Chavez in 2007. It is believed that Chavez may have taken Mariah to Mexico, where they could be residing. Mariah was a biracial (Hispanic/White) infant with brown hair and blue eyes at the time of her disappearance.
