Brandee Hope Canipe, a 29-year-old woman, was last seen on May 6, 2006, at her residence on US 158 in Mocksville, North Carolina. Her disappearance, however, was not reported until April 2010, four years after she was last seen. This delay in reporting occurred because Brandee had a habit of staying out of touch for long periods, leading her family to initially believe that she had simply distanced herself again.
