Florence Elma Doolittle, a 64-year-old woman, was reported missing on July 8, 1982, in Greensboro, North Carolina. On the day of her disappearance, she failed to meet a friend at a needlepoint shop, raising alarms among her family and friends. Florence, a widow living alone, had been seen earlier that day but was not heard from after that.
