On January 14, 2024, 25-year-old Marissa Carmichael, a mother of five from High Point, North Carolina, was reported missing after a night out in Greensboro. She was last seen at an Exxon gas station on East Market Street around 3:40 a.m., where she made a distressed 911 call reporting that her phone had been stolen and she had been left stranded.
