Renee Yeargain, a 24-year-old mother of four, was last seen on August 9, 2004, in Torrington, Wyoming. She was living with her fiancé, Josh Minter, at the time. According to Minter, Renee left their home with a grocery sack of clothes, refusing to say where she was going. Two days later, her 1987 Pontiac Subaru station wagon was discovered abandoned at a rest stop between Cheyenne and Torrington.
Inside the car were her keys, cell phone, purse, and other personal items, but her clothing and tattoo kit were missing. The car had reportedly been there since August 10.
Renee’s family found her sudden disappearance suspicious, particularly because she was preparing for her upcoming wedding. She had been working to improve her life, running a tattoo business from home. Although she had a history of leaving unexpectedly, her mother stated she never stayed away for long or without contacting her children. Renee’s brother also raised concerns about her relationship with Minter, stating she had reported being physically abused by him the day before she vanished.
In 2018, a new search was conducted on property linked to Minter's family, with cadaver dogs indicating the presence of human remains, though no significant discoveries were made. Renee's case remains unsolved, and law enforcement continues to seek information. Her family, particularly her children, still hope for answers.
