Lynn Bush, a 26-year-old woman from Casper, Wyoming, was last seen on December 8, 1990, when she reportedly went to Buttrey’s grocery store but never returned home. Her husband, David Labon Bush, did not report her missing until the following day. He claimed that her truck was found in the grocery store parking lot, with the door ajar, keys on the ground, and groceries inside.
Despite his claim that she may have left due to marital issues, suspicions soon surrounded David, especially given his quick decision to move a girlfriend into their home shortly after Lynn’s disappearance.
Lynn’s case remained unsolved for years, but investigators gradually uncovered damning evidence. Blood found in the couple’s truck and on a vodka bottle in the home was identified as Lynn's through DNA testing in 2006. Witnesses also recounted incriminating statements made by David, including claims that he had placed her body in a freezer. Further suspicion arose when their young daughter, Misty, made statements during therapy indicating she may have witnessed her mother’s death, describing violent actions involving her father. These findings led to David’s arrest and subsequent conviction for Lynn’s murder in 2007, despite her body never being found.
Throughout the investigation, authorities pieced together evidence suggesting a violent end to Lynn’s life. David maintained his innocence, even attempting to shift blame to his brother, but the courts upheld his conviction. Lynn’s remains have never been located, but she was declared legally dead in 1999.
