On July 7th, she was seen walking out of the laundry room and was never heard from again. Megan, who was born and raised in Delta Junction, was known for her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors, often enjoying activities like riding horses, motorcycles, and fishing with her family on the Yukon River. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being 5'4" tall and weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and protruding front teeth. She was last seen wearing a white long-sleeved checkered shirt, a brown short-sleeved sweatshirt, blue jeans, and suede ski boots. All of her personal belongings, including her identification, were left behind in her dorm room, suggesting she did not leave voluntarily. The initial days following Megan's disappearance were marked by a concerning lack of immediate alarm. Her roommate searched for her for three days before officially reporting her missing to the Seward Police Department. The investigation that followed has spanned decades, yet a definitive answer to what happened to Megan remains elusive. Her case is classified as an endangered missing person, and foul play is strongly suspected. Over the years, law enforcement has explored various leads, but one particularly ominous possibility has persistently shadowed the investigation. A significant focus of the investigation has been on the potential involvement of Robert Hansen, a notorious serial killer who was active in Alaska during that period. Hansen, who confessed to numerous murders and rapes, was known to be in Seward on the day Megan disappeared. While most of his confirmed victims were sex workers or exotic dancers, a map found in his home marked with the locations of his victims' bodies contained more marks than the number of murders he admitted to, leading investigators to believe there were more victims. Although Hansen denied any involvement in Megan's case before his death in 2014, authorities have long considered her a potential victim.
